Meet and Greet

Hello there!

This past Wednesday, I had the lovely pleasure of going to a meet and greet at Jonathan and Kate Burkey’s house. The Burkeys are going to be our mentors for the trip to Honduras, and I have to say that we got pretty lucky with these two! I am so excited to get to know them better, and getting to know everyone in the group.

While we were there, Jonathan and Kate reminded us about raising money. Even though it is a huge part of going on the trip, they reminded us that it’s just money and that God will always provide for us. They told us to keep focused, and remember that God has a plan for everything. It’s easy to get discouraged when there’s such a large price tag on this trip, but remembering that it’s all for something bigger than myself makes all the difference.

Thanks to an EXTREMELY generous donation, I’ve already raised half of the money needed for this trip, but not everyone is quite as lucky.  As you go about your week, if you could keep my teammates, Footsteps Missions, and myself in your thoughts and prayers. We have a lot on our shoulders right now, and every little bit helps. Thanks and God bless!

Ideas, Anyone?

Hello there!

If you’re reading this, we MUST be friends. And what do friends do? Help each other! Well friends, I need some help right now. I am in desperate need of some fundraising ideas. If you’re thinking to yourself, “Wait, hold up, Anna, why do you need to fundraise?!?”, fear not, you can read this lovely page to find out more.

Any who, fundraising! What’s a girl to do? After going on dozens of trips in junior high and high school, I am just fresh out of new, exciting ideas. And here on campus, it seems like everyone and their mothers are fundraising for something (I’m not hating on others who need financial support, I even supported some of them!). This just means that I need something awesome and interesting to bring in the interest and the cash.

So my question for you is what would you like as a fundraiser? I could sing you a song, do your laundry, make friendship bracelets, draw a picture of an elephant, juice an orange, anything! I just need some ideas on what people would be willing to spend money on. So here’s your chance! Let me know what YOU think is a good idea. It can be serious or silly, I don’t really care, I just need some ideas to get the ball rolling!

Thanks for reading, and get brainstorming!
